I don't get over here all that often these days, But I wanted to thank the writer for his comments about our music.  It was a tremendous pleasure working on this game and trying to think up that "just right" mood for each scene without being redundant.  One of the great things is that Tom and I each bring different styles to our compositions, and when we meld them it further creates different nuances.

Call me nuts, but I think doing something entirely different would be the best way to go.  something like Lucas Arts "The Dig" only much better, because I think we *can* make it much better.

Tom and I received our copies yesterday!  Wow!  Lovely packaging!  It was a thrill to actually have a "game" in our hands, rather than cyberspace.

In my early 20s I dated a fellow who came from the Netherlands.  Everyone called him Dutch.  His real first name was a mouthful (which I no longer even remember).  Heck, I can't remember what I had for breakfast.

Well, call me "interferring" but I think Tom enunciated that incorrectly and that Britney is closer:  In Poland it would be:  Levindofskee   They don't have w's, only v's, and when you soften the second "v" it sounds like an f.

You know, I wondered, too, about the pronunciation.  I placed the emphasis on the EM until one day I had a lightbulb moment and realized it was a play on words for the region it takes place (southwest)  The Alamo.

Now, I have no idea whatsoever whether or not this is correct, but it seemed to fit.  

Thank you for your very kind, generous comments.  Tom explained the process very well.  We work somewhat differently, but compliment one another very well.  Probably why we got married!  Tom's a marvel on drum tracks and guitar.  I'd rather play Bach.  So together we just sorta blend our individual musical mindsets.

I have to add my two cents.

When you stop to think that each of us who contributed are hundreds, if not thousands, of miles apart  . . . and we each did our individual thing, often away from the computer, then used the computer to transport the final information . . .

well . . . let's just say that's pretty amazing.

We don't get to meet at the water cooler to discuss and share personal stories.  In many instances, we don't know what each of us looks like or our individual personalities.  Yet, we interacted in a team fashion that is simply outstanding given the circumstances.

I was suffering some serious health problems and Tom kept me going, coaxing me along when I didn't think I could contribute one more note.  I'd occasionally read the forums and that would also give me some extra energy.

All in all, it's been a glorious three years.  I never thought we'd make it.  But we did.  And I'm damned proud to have been a part of it.

For what it's worth, I have shipped quite a bit internationally and haven't noticed the shipping costs to be exhorbitant, nor the time it takes to get there.  My experience has been with Australia (I send and get a good deal of mail from there), Canada, Italy, Germany, UK.

I HAVE received some packages with green tape printed:  "Opened by Homeland Security" - which I think is a hoot, since my custom forms state needlework and/or embroidery with instructions.  I'll bet they think those instructions are for bombs.

Forgive my cynicism.
