Can't run the demo

When I try to load the demo, I just get a black screen. I can hear noises, and if I try to Alt-Tab out, my computer stops communicating with my monitor completely. Anyone know how to fix this?

Just a hunch, but have you tried using the separate "Settings Menu" program to turn off fullscreen?  I seem to recall having an odd aspect ration making someone else' demo act like that with the first one.
